How do we "Go Green" at Moles Orthodontics?

At Milwaukee's Moles Orthodontics, we are always taking steps to be more environmentally friendly. We first started with energy efficient light bulbs throughout our offices. We took it another step further with water that is filtered. We no longer have our water delivered.

We also went from having all patient charts to scanning our documents from our charts into the patients computer file. This eliminated copies being made and possible cross- contamination as well. We are striving to a completely free paperless office. Were heading towards our goal with the amount of work were doing with papers and charts dwindling fast!

We have recycle bins in our offices in Milwaukee, Racine and Brookfield, and every one of our employees recycles daily. Even in the winter we try to keep the office thermostat a couple degree’s lower and a couple degrees higher in the summer months, to reduce the heating and cooling costs in the office. We do keep it comfortable for our patients though.

Everyone can do their share to start going green and protect the planet our future generations will be living in.

Moles Orthodontics, supporting the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation

We are delighted to bring the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation to Southeastern Wisconsin and would like you to be a part of creating exciting, positive changes in the lives of eight local, well-deserving children.

Smile for a Lifetime Foundation was launched in 2008 as a charitable non-profit organization. This national organization sponsors the orthodontic care of hundreds of children each year who need assistance due to financial challenges or special situations. Moles Orthodontics has three convenient offices in Milwaukee, Racine and Brookfield.

My staff and I are partnering with the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation to give the gifts of healthy smiles to underserved children in our community. Our mission is to create self-confidence, inspire hope and improve the futures of these children in a dramatic way.

We invite you to nominate a deserving child who meets the requirements for treatment. Please visit our website to download an application. Applicants are chosen on a quarterly basis.

Brewers Fan Days at Moles Orthodontics!

Two times a month when the Milwaukee Brewers play home games, we decorate the office and all wear Brewers apparel and invite our patients to do the same! It's really a fun day and the doctors get involved too! Hopefully the majority of our patients are Brewers Fans! If not they can wear the opposing team!

For more photos from our "Brewers Fan Days," head over to our Facebook fan page!

Featured Patient Review for Dr. Moles!

Our staff at Moles Orthodontics recently received a review from Jeraline, a former patient, who reminded us why we love creating warm, beautiful smiles. Here's what Jeraline had to say:

I started my orthodonic treatment 17 months ago at age 55. It was tough growing up, being called names because of unattractive teeth. When I first met Dr. Moles he assured me he could give me a "Knock-em-dead" smile. At my age, I wondered? With each visit I was able to see the progression to my final goal. His staff are professional, caring, genuinely warm people whom I have grown to admire. Appointments have little wait time if any at all. Next month I have my braces removed and I cannot wait to see how my "bucky beaver" smile has been transformed to one that I can truly love. To Dr. Moles and his staff I thank you for making a dream come true.♥‎

Moles Orthodontics, reminding you to protect your mouth this summer

June is here, summer is nearly here, and for our team at Moles Orthodontics, that means it's time to once again remind our patients to protect themselves (and their teeth) while out on the field this summer.

To prevent your teeth from being chipped, broken or knocked out we recommend that all patients wear a mouth guard. Whether they are currently in treatment or had treatment many years ago. Invisalign retainers can help protect your teeth but we still recommend that your teeth are thoroughly protected by an actual mouth guard. When playing any type of physical activity or sports you will want to take your retainers out and store them in a safe place. Especially when you have braces you will want to wear a sports mouth guard, preferably a mouth guard that does not form to your teeth. The mouth guard that forms to your mouth will prevent your teeth from making progress and moving.

If you happen to have your tooth chipped or broken, you should call your dentist’s emergency line. A dentist can give you the options on how they can treat and how to go about fixing a chipped or broken tooth. An orthodontist should be called in an emergency if there is a severe problem with the orthodontic appliances.

Instead of recommending sports drinks, water is still the very best thing you can drink to stay hydrated during sports and physical activity. Water is always the absolute best for keeping your teeth and body healthy!

We hope you enjoyed Memorial Day weekend! Great to be back to work perfecting our patients' bites!
